Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra
Miguel Harth-Bedoya, conductor

ENRIQUE SORO: Tres Aires Chilenos
CELSO GARRIDO-LECCA: Retablos Sinfónicos
ADOLFO MEJÍA: Pequeña Suite
ESTEBAN BENZECRY: Colores de la Cruz del Sur
CLAUDIO REBAGLIATI: Rapsodia Peruana

The recording includes compositions spanning over two hundred years and explores the divergent landscapes of South America - from the coast to the mountains – all watched over by the Southern Cross as portrayed in Argentinean composer Esteban Benzecry’s Colores de la Cruz del Sur. Popular melodies and dance themes are illustrated in Tres Aires Chilenos and Retablos Sinfónicos. In Mejía’s Pequeña Suite and Rebagliati’s Rapsodia Peruana the anniversaries of the founding of Bogotá and the independence of Peru are celebrated.
Recorded live in Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall.
