Ivo Ivanov
Ivo Ivanov has been a member of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra since 1996. He was born in Rousse, Bulgaria, where he began to study violin at the age of 6. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the State Academy of Music in Sofia, Bulgaria. After two consecutive seasons with the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, he moved to the United States where he studied at Southern Methodist University, earning a Master’s degree in violin performance. Mr. Ivanov has toured ad performed in concert halls in venues throughout Europe and Asia. In 1980, he participated in a governmental cultural exchange delegation including solo performances in Pyongyang, North Korea. Mr. Ivanov is also an adjunct professor of violin at the Southeast campus of Tarrant County College. He , his wife and their two daughters reside in Arlington.
